Roles

A user holds one or more roles that determine what they can do in CXF:
RoleDescription
Super AdminFull access — can view and edit every record (as owner or follower). Hidden from listings.
MasterSame as Super Admin, but without access to quotas, billing, user management, or account settings. Hidden from listings.
Service AccountA technical account with the same access as Master; it can see the Journey Manager Apps where it is owner or follower. Hidden from listings.
CoachRead-only — can’t update anything. Sees only the Journey Manager Apps where they are owner or follower. Hidden from listings.
Journey ManagerAccesses only the Journey Manager section, with no access to any administration panel.
The administrative roles (Super Admin, Master, Service Account, Coach) are hidden from listings — they don’t appear in the records and pickers regular users browse.
You can filter the catalog by role.

Profiles

A user can be assigned one or more profiles. You can filter the catalog by profile.

Attributes, taxonomies & tags

Like other CXF objects, a user carries custom attributes, and can be classified with taxonomies and tags, edited on the user’s Attributes and Authoring tabs. A Logs tab records the history of changes.

Behaviour & rules

The Users catalog behaves like other CXF object lists — search, filter (by role and profile), show or hide columns, and sort. Create a user with New User. Each row also surfaces the user’s count of open activities.

Governance & permissions

Only a super admin or Master can create users and assign their roles and profiles.
